Hope is for dreamers.

I was recently told that The Mighty Ones might become a reality a lot sooner than I thought it would. My step-dad/boss told me to come up with a business plan, so he could put The Mighty Ones in our companies budget. This was amazing news to hear. This news has also made The Mighty Ones the focal point of my life now a days. This business plan as eaten up all of my time. I plan to do it right, so it will become something tangible instead of just a dream. I have told my friends/business partners about it and they are all aboard. My creativity and ideas have been coming to me more often.I have at least 10-14 T-shirt ideas. I dont want to give away too many of my shirt ideas just yet, but what I can say is, that there will be a TM1 shirt made before the end of summer. It probably will just be for me or like a couple of my friends/partners and not made in bulk. I just need that inspiration to keep me going. I have been producing, what I feel, are the ideas that make The Mighty Ones stand out from every other brand, as well as keeping my artistic integrity by not making clothes that we would just sell for a profit. We make clothes because it is our dream. I always said I would quit if it felt like a job, so I want every single piece of matter that bears The Mighty Ones name to be a piece of the puzzle to our never ending dream. The Mighty Ones will become an institute for the 1% of the population who break away from the norm, and seek to be not a trend follower, but a trend killer. If you are reading this blog, then you are the inspiration for The Mighty Ones.

Keep it 1.

Snapbacks no Fitteds.

( By the way these are my next snaps, so dont even think about it.)

People always ask me why I dont wear fitteds. My answer simply is that I just prefer snapbacks. They just feel more me. They have a certain shape to them, and you can bend the brim up without ruining the hat, like you would do for fitteds. Plus, I think the snaps just look way better than a fitted back. I mean sure fitteds are more abundant, and they have alot more of them than snaps, but that also makes it more likely that someone will have never seen your snapback let alone have it. Plus Snapbacks are for snapback people, meaning they would only look right with a snapback and not a fitted (like myself). Did I mention that I dont do team snapbacks. I just think they are too main stream. Like oh yeah nice hornets snapback my cousin has the same one. Brand snapbacks just have that exclusive feeling. I mean sure anyone can get a brand snapback, but they are limited, while team snapbacks are abundant. If you see a Mishka Death Adders snapback on their website, and you sleep on it, dont expect it to be there next month. And once they are gone then you wont be getting one. Another great example is a supreme snapback. Have you seen one? Exactly. You just know the fitteds box logo ones. I have 6 snapbacks and counting. This is all I have, and all I will ever get.

Beach Bum

Me and my good friend were talking at Urban Outfitters, and we both agreed that Tank Tops for summer will be great. On the spot, I just went in and named what I think is a great outfit. The Tank Top will be bright with some designs on it maybe, Im not sure, I would love to find a acid wash looking one. So, it will be that, and a nice thin cardigan (open of course) with cut off shorts heat on my feet (also Plimsoles, and possibly boat shoes) and a snapback with the brim bent up (all my brims are bent up, but just to complete the image), or I can also wear my fedora (the type with all the edges rounded up. I hate the Micheal Jackson looking one. Mine is like the one Kid Cudi always wears.) I can even just wear my hair out. Ah yes, I can see it now, and the perfect thing is that no one is wearing it down here like how I want to, so it can be my "thing". I need to start buying some soon.

Hot days, long nights.

(My outfit will be like the guy in the middle)

Summer is coming up soon, and I think I know what its in call for. I love the shorts above the knees I have to say. Done right, it will look amazing. Urban Outfitters has some great shorts above the knee. I will wear them with a nice flannel and boat shoes. To complete this look I will have to loose the snap back. This is a kind of "English" type look.Put on some Ray-Ban Classic Wayfarers with some nice indie hair, amazing. Plimsoles will also compliment the look (no socks). If I want to get Hypebeast, then I will wear some nice cut off shorts with either a graphic tee, or an open flannel with a graphic tee, and some nice low top heat and my snap backs. My two looks for summer will look great and keep me cool while staying true to myself and my style. Im excited, and will start to make purchases. The only thing I really need are the above the knee shorts, I have cut off shorts and flannels in abundance. Oh, and the sound track for my summer will be Summertime! by The Drums.

Bravo 5's

These are my next shoe. I love the all red color way, I can really do my thing with these. I will do dark colors to really highlight the all red to make it pop. These will be the start of my jordan 5 collection. It is a challenge trying to find these, but I have found some, and I am just waiting for the seller to hit me back with more pictures to see if they are legit or not. If not i will just shell out the extra 50 or so dollars to buy it from a trusted source. If I get these, scratch that when I get these, I will be breaking necks.Ill make another post with pictures when they arrive.

From the Ground Up

My clothing line The Mighty Ones has been my dream for quite some time. The style of it is like the streetwear brands of today like mishka, supreme, the hundreds, and 10 deep. Alot of my inspiration comes from these brands, but I want it to be MY brand, not an imitation. I just use the inspiration they give me as sort of a foundation to build upon. The logos for my brand have taken me a while to think of. My main logo will probably be the Russian sickle and hammer with the hammer replaced by a lightningbolt. My other logos sort of come from the actual name The Mighty Ones. I played around with the name, like I think of strength, so my other logos are either going to be a 2 Muscular arms (in the making a muscle position) crossed. However, I might drop that for my other logo, which is an anchor (this stems from the cartoons muscle men with the anchor tatoo) by its self or with a ribbon across the bottom like the dollar bill that says The Mighty Ones (possibly in another language). I am still thinking of one so none of these are official. Once I get my official logos, then I can start making my clothes. I will probably do shirts first since it is the easiest thing. I have seen how hard it is making denim from the show How To Make It in America (I highly recommend it). I need to figure out how I get that started.

Knowledge is both the pen and the sword.

So, Im sitting here getting ready for school. We have a uniform unfortunately, it is a true blue collared shirt and our choice of either black or khaki pants. I wear my uniform shirt with all 3 buttons buttoned, and my black hot topic rude fit jeans (super skinny). I need khaki levi 510s in my life. However, I make due. I also wear a black American Apparel cardigan on cool days. I like to rotate the heat I wear on my feet too. I mostly wear my Sb Marshalls, or my atomic reds, but I also wear my black and white Lakai telfords and my tan moccasins on my comfortable days. Since I have gym, I wear a snapback on everyday of the week (sometimes I dont wear it on Wednesdays because I dont have gym) because my hair would get all muffed up. Next year Ill be wearing my hair out in my indie style everyday haha. Ah, if only we could wear cutoff shorts on these 140 degree days we have been experiencing lately. Anyhow, Fridays are uniform optional days. These are the days I really get to stretch my closet to its limits. Since, there arent really any fly people in my school (besides my group of close friends) it isnt really hard to shit on people. On Fridays, we become a sight to behold.
